Monday Night Raw - play by play · Jan 29, 07:42 PM by Backyard Wrestler
Tonight’s edition of Monday Night Raw was as exciting as ever, to start things off HBK made a bold claim saying he will still hold the position of WWE Champion ever after the upcoming WrestleMania. After making these claims John Cena’s music filled the auditorium as he made his way on stage, just as Cena was telling the crowd he liked the idea of teaming up with HBK he was cut off mid-sentance by Edge’s music.
Edge took things to another level saying he’s beat John many times already and he was right all along that HBK wouldn’t win the Rumble so he deserved the title match.. Of course Randy Orton felt the need to come out on stage and set things straight with Edge telling him he doesn’t have a title shot.
At this point John Cena stepped inbetween Randy and Edge cutting them both off telling them to settle things in the ring, as if that wasn’t enough Vince appeared via video link to settle things once and for all saying Orton and Edge will have to defend their tag team titles against John and HBK..
Why? Because it was fan appreciation night thats why…
After the commercial John is backstage talking to Rick Flair telling him that tonight is huge, because he could become the new tag team champion.
Flair thinks its great but not perfect telling John he believes alongside HBK he can hold the tag team title but that Shawn Michaels will likely take him out at WrestleMania.
Then the moment we’ve all been waiting for!!
During the title match Randy and Edge did a good job attacking John Cena’s weak spot, his injured ribs, but towards the end John managed to land an FU on Randy and got the 1-2-3 count for a win!!!
However when Cena turned around HBK tried to land a superkick on him, of course this set John off and he quickly got into HBK’s face saying “is this what it’s about?”
Just then the Undertaker came on stage to stare John Cena down, this signified he wants to take Cena at the upcoming WrestleMania..
Yeesh

Bah…John Cena beat Umaga fair and square, personally I think it would make a great storyline for Cena to win the match even with his recent injuries.

This coming Sunday, John Cena, will be defending his championship title in a match of Last Man Standing.
This news came quickly after Umaga quite literally destroyed John on last weeks Monday Night Raw, as we previously reported John suffered what the WWE’s own doctors called a “severe abdominal injury”
After John Cena’s match against Samoan Bulldozer was announced rumors started circulating that John would be forfeit the match in order to be ready for his last man standing match vs Umaga for the WWE championship belt.

Tonight’s RAW emulated from Lafayette and we first saw John Cena when he interrupted another one of Mr. McMahon’s entertaining speech’s about Donald Trump. He told Vince to stop being a pussbag. He then called him an egotistical freak and Coach quickly interrupted defending McMahon. Cena continued comparing Donald to Vince until Coach slipped in Vince’s defense and said Trump has more money then him. Now pissed off, the Chairman announced John Cena would be in competition tonight against none other then the Coach.
John Cena made his way out again about halfway through the show to an awesome ovation. Coach then came out and said he was going to face Cena, only after we had ourselves a little Royal Rumble preview match. He then sent Murdoch & Cade down. The Champ fought them off although it wasn’t easy. Coach then sent out The World’s Greatest Tag Team and Viscera. They all ganged up on John until Khali came down. Not understanding the concept, Khali beat up everyone else and threw them out of the ring, only to turn around and get hit with a shoulder off the top rope from Cena. Khali then crushed Cena and tossed him over the top rope to win the Royal Rumble preview match. After throwing Cena into the steps and then executing his finisher in the ring, Coach came down to pin Cena again, but he kicked out. Running on pure adrenaline, John demanded Coach hit him. From behind, Umaga attacked Cena and hit a Samoan Spike. He then set the Champ up on a table, which Coach and Estrada brought into the ring. Umaga climbed to the top rope and splashed Cena through the table. Referees and EMP’s came out ringside as we went to commercial break.
Upon returning, we see Cena struggling to his feet and refusing medical attention. The referees helped him to the back as the crowd applauded Cena’s will and drive. Later on in the evening, we were informed that Cena could have a ruptured spleen. What condition has this left Cena in for the Last Man Standing match Sunday at the Rumble?
